just a little something i wrote in 10th grade found it saved on my hardrive started 2 bring back memories

I don’t know why but I have always loved the rain. Not the weak rain that doesn’t pound heavily on the porch but the strong rain that cascades down from the roof. Perhaps it was my Irish heritage. My dad said he grew up in Ireland and there it rained almost every day of the summer. I remember when I was a kid I would always sit in my garage with the door open and just watch the rain poor down. To me it was one of the most peaceful images imaginable. There is also no sound as peaceful as rain. The thousands of tiny droplets hitting the roof, the booming sound of thunder and the piercing sound of the wind as it rips through the trees. It. It was all so peaceful. I don’t know why I loved the rain.

  1. My sister in law says the rain is a sign that god is washing away the old and making way for the new. I'm not too religious. In fact, I'm more of a darwinist agnostic. But.. rain has its nuisances... it has its pleasures. The sound of it, save any howling winds or crackling, always fascinates me.

  10. I love the rain too, but I live in the desert so it's pretty normal to love it.
